ATTENTION NEW DOODLE CLIENTS:
We are rolling out a new policy for all new to us doodle clients. If you’ve seen us before but it’s been a year or more then you will fall into the new client category. All new doodles will need to come in for a consultation with our manager before we will be able to put you on our schedule. To answer some questions: “Why?” With the popularity of this mix comes an unpredictable variety in coat type and size. We are seeing doodles labeled as Minis coming in at 60+ lbs. Bernadoodles, Lab/Goldendoodles, Aussiedoodles, St Bernadoodles, Sheepadoodles, etc etc. There is too much variety with these mixes that we have been lost on how to schedule these guys sight unseen. This will hopefully take some pressure off of our groomers as well. Sometimes we book too much time, and sometimes too little. “What will happen during the consult?” We will talk about your dog’s coat type and texture, temperament, grooming history, home maintenance, goals for home maintenance and how often you’d like to come in, and type of groom you are looking for. We will then offer suggestions based on all that info and schedule an appointment! “How long does this consult take?” Plan on 5-10 minutes. “Why can’t we just do this over the phone?” Again, over the phone is what we’ve been doing since we opened. It is no longer working when it comes to this particular mix. There is too much variety, and it can be hard for some owners to articulate the answers to the questions we ask. Hopefully that all makes sense! We appreciate patience and kindness as we roll this new policy out. And if you’ve made it this far Please enjoy this video of a sleepy Bentley who we’ve been seeing since he was a tiny baby. Bentley comes once a week for brushouts, gets monthly baths and haircuts every 6-8 weeks. He views grooming as a part of life and not a punishment. 💙ion, redesigned your shop, or added a new product or service? Don't keep it to yourself, let folks know.
We will no longer be able to take dogs on a once a year basis. Short and simply put Once a year grooming is incredibly hard on dogs who need to be seen every 2-3 months. Peeling a year’s worth of coat off of a dog is detrimental to not only the health of your dog but also their temperament and how they view a grooming visit. This puts our groomers behind schedule, therefore our regular clients suffer. And not to mention this type of grooming is also very hard on our tools. Regular grooming should be a part of your dog’s life and not a punishment. If you have any questions on how often your dog should be visiting the groomer please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you! **cats are exempt from this policy.

Dogs with matted coats will require extra attention. If the matting is minimal and the dog responds well, we may de-mat for an extra fee. However, if the matting is severe the least painful and stressful way to remove the mats is by shaving the dog. There is a greater risk of nicking or scratching a matted dog during the grooming process. In addition, the skin may appear red, itchy and irritated due to the lack of oxygen reaching in and under the mats. KNOTTY Paws LLC will not be held responsible for any injury sustained while grooming a matted dog, including any after effects. This includes, but is not limited to swelling, redness, itchiness and self-inflicted abrasions due to external rubbing.
Every effort will be taken to make sure your pet gets groomed as safely and carefully as possible. But, unfortunately, accidents DO happen. Dogs are licking, scratching, jumping, and overall wiggly creatures. Whereas dog grooming tools, by necessity, are sharp instruments. If there is a severe mishap we will contact, you immediately but will take the necessary measures to get your pet the medical attention he/she requires. KNOTTY Paws LLC will not be responsible for any costs related to this.
We do NOT have boarding services at KNOTTY Paws LLC. If you are late
(after Grooming Salon is closed)
in picking up your pet(s) you will be charged $1.00 per minute for every minute that you are late after our regular closing time or daycare fee will be applied.
